Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

Keep your sign-in details private and accurate, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account. One account is for one person.

We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app and its content for your own personal, non-commercial use, for as long as your account is in good standing and these terms are respected.

Lumina is a tool for reflection, planning and encouragement. It is not a doctor, therapist, dietitian, lawyer, accountant or financial adviser, and nothing in it is medical, psychological, nutritional, legal or financial advice. Guidance, scores, summaries and reflections, including anything generated by AI, are for reflection only and may be incomplete or wrong. Always use your own judgement, and consult a qualified professional before acting on anything that affects your health, your money or your legal rights. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

The spiritual content reflects our own convictions and is offered for your own walk with God. It is not a substitute for your own reading of Scripture, your church or your pastoral counsel.

• Some features require a paid subscription. The current plans and prices are shown in the app and at checkout before you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price in effect when you subscribed, until you cancel.
• If a free trial is offered, its length is shown at checkout. Billing begins when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• You can cancel at any time in Account Settings. Cancelling stops future charges, and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refundable. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us and we will look at it.

Digital downloads are licensed to you for personal use. You may print and display them for yourself and as gifts, but you may not resell them, redistribute the files, or use them commercially.

Prints are produced and shipped by our print partner, using the artwork and delivery details in your order. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and depend on the carrier. Please check the address you give us, because a parcel sent to a wrong address may not be recoverable. If a print arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us and we will make it right.

Your journal entries, prayers, recordings and other content belong to you. You give us the permission we need to store, process and display that content back to you, to generate the responses you request, and to provide the features you use. We do not publish your content anywhere and we do not sell it. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or threaten anyone.
• Attempt to access another person's account or records.
• Copy, resell, or share access to the app or its content without our written permission.
• Interfere with the app's operation, or attempt to bypass its security or payment systems.
• Upload content you do not have the right to upload.

Responses produced by AI are generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected. Read them with discernment, check anything important against Scripture and against people you trust, and never rely on them as professional advice.

The app relies on services provided by others, including hosting, payment processing, AI processing, printing and delivery. Their availability affects ours, and their own terms and privacy practices apply to the parts they handle.

We work to keep the app available and improving, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in the app.

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time in Account Settings. We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or where we are required to by law.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the app or from reliance on its content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law rules. Nothing here removes the protection of the consumer law where you live.

We may update these terms as the app changes. We will post the new version here with a new date, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
